Usually, it's a good thing to get a free trip to Italy. For the passengers aboard a Condor Airlines flight on Saturday from Corfu, Greece, to Düsseldorf, Germany, however, their free trip to Italy proved absolutely terrifying, as their Boeing 757 was forced to make an emergency landing in the country when one of its engines burst into flames mid-flight, the New York Post reports. When they landed at the Brindisi Airport in southern Italy, the passengers ran into yet another problem: there reportedly weren't enough hotel rooms for everyone, forcing some of them to spend the night in the airport. Two hundred and seventy-three passengers left Corfu, along with eight crew members, but when the plane reached about 36,000 feet, passengers reportedly noticed flames coming from the right side of the plane. Typically, you don't want to see anything burning while you're trapped in a metal tube, several miles in the sky, so it's completely understandable that the passengers were terrified. The good news is, they did make it, but it doesn't change the fact that they were justifiably worried that would be the end for them. "It was an incredibly horrible experience. I already sent goodbye texts because I thought, 'It's over now,'" one passenger told Germany's Bild. They also added, "The reason was a parameter indication outside the normal range caused by a disturbance in the air flow supply to the engine." It isn't entirely clear what that means, exactly, but that's the explanation they're going with for now. Hopefully, we will get more information once they conclude their investigation. As for the hotel room issue, the airline also told the Post, "Unfortunately, there was insufficient hotel capacity in Brindisi, meaning that not all guests could be accommodated in hotels." That said, "Additional vouchers and blankets were organized at the airport, and a few shops were allowed to remain open to provide supplies. Passengers who took advantage of alternative accommodation options can submit their expenses for reimbursement." That certainly sounds better than dying strapped into a burning airplane, but it's still a rough deal for the passengers who weren't lucky enough to receive hotel rooms. Hopefully, they also receive some compensation for being unexpectedly forced to face their own mortality. 【時報-台北電】經濟疲弱時，投資人擔憂財富縮水，並以追求資產保全與保值為優先。根據過去經驗，美國U-6廣義失業率上升階段，或是ISM製造業指數低於50榮枯線時，黃金價格多呈上漲格局，加上降息開始，過往黃金表現佳；另一方面，今年以來外匯市場波動大增，黃金期貨ETF交易標的是紐約商品交易所黃金期貨契約，只需部分資金作為美元保證金即可，因此受到美元貶值影響幅度較小， 元大投信指出，受俄羅斯外匯儲備遭美歐凍結影響，新興國家去美元化需求殷切，全球央行自2022年第二季以來已連續13季買超量在長期平均以上，根據世界黃金協會對全球央行的調查，這股趨勢或將持續三～五年，有利黃金長期走升。 元大投信認為，黃金與各類資產相關性低，可做為投組標配，而過往投資人習慣以債券投資來分散或對沖股市風險，但是近幾年股債同漲齊跌的現象層出不窮，避險效用減弱。反觀黃金則是由低度相關轉為負相關，對沖股市風險的效果愈加顯著。 而期元大S&P黃金（00635U）使用單一證券帳戶即可定期定額，與股票部位同步配置。00635U也有穩定的借券需求，出借費率可增加投資人額外收益。 富邦雙核心戰略多重資產基金經理人陳臻怡表示，在地緣政治緊張與關稅憂慮升溫下，傳統的避險資產如黃金，相較於更新的替代品，仍多了一層吸引力。今年全球地緣政治緊張、關稅及其他宏觀經濟不確定性，促使全球央行購金速度加快，亦為黃金提供了強力支撐。 陳臻怡指出，持續看好黃金應對去美元化趨勢，然而黃金短線維持在歷史高檔位階震盪，因此將分散布局黃金類資產，建議投資人可透過戰略多重資產基金，佈局黃金類資產，參與後市成長機會。 台新收益領航多重資產基金經理人謝夢蘭表示，川普2017年～2020年擔任美國總統期間，啟動中美貿易戰後股市波動持續上升，2025年川普就任，上任後的關稅政策搖擺不定，拖累金融市場波動加劇，分散風險意識更形重要。川普2.0在關稅議題發酵下，市場波動加遽，但也帶動類股或國家輪動，所以投資機會可能會更為全面性，因此採多重資產基金布局策略可掌握不同資產輪動行情，同時分散市場風險。 謝夢蘭還說，布局另類資產如黃金ETF，其價值在於其獨特的投資效益，例如具有對抗通膨、股債低相關性、抵抗經濟周期循環等特性，靈活運用可為多重資產組合加分，在全球股市已來到歷史高檔之際，黃金ETF後市可望成為資金避風港。(新聞來源 : 工商時報一巫其倫／台北報導) View the full article

【時報-台北電】REITs近期因美國聯準會（Fed）降息時點不確定，致市場信心不足，指數整體在箱型區間震盪，由於美國經濟下半年有上修動能，短期降息雖僵化，但明年路徑將更有利市場，REITs行情可期待。 台新北美收益資產證券化基金經理人李文孝指出，美國REITs指數近期區間震盪，下檔年線具支撐，長線多頭將隨著產業復甦而持續。目前評價仍偏低，本益比18.5倍，股利率4％，在降息環境下，目前的評價具吸引力，建議逢低布局。 李文孝指出，第二季財報剛開始揭露，預期醫療、資料中心成長續強，住宅、通訊、商辦溫和復甦，工業、自助倉儲仍打底，零售、旅館由高峰而下。2025年美國REITs整體獲利增長上調至3.5％。後市以養老社區後市成長力道相對看好。 野村基礎建設大未來基金經理人高君逸表示，今年來基礎建設基金表現穩健，利多包含美國四大雲端服務供應商CSP大幅增加資本支出建構AI，資料中心成長與需求大幅增加，在AI前景加持下，估值合理的基礎建設板塊持續吸引資金流入；基礎建設相關類股由於對經濟敏感性較低及在地化特性，通常在地緣政治不確定性升溫及經濟動能趨緩的時期表現相對具有韌性。 展望後市，高君逸看好AI產業發展及川普美國製造政策，美國企業回流或外資前往美國設廠趨勢下，公用事業，涵蓋電力及電網，帶來的商機及成長性較為明確。 整體而言，高君逸表示，REITs、基礎建設類股與一般全球型股票的相關性偏低，且目前又具備多項潛在優勢，在全球地緣政治與貿易政策不確定性仍可能持續存在的環境下，相關的基金產品適合做為長期股票核心配置。 群益全球地產入息基金經理人楊慈珍表示，隨著美國關稅政策對金融市場的影響逐漸鈍化，以及大而美法案的通過，經濟下行的風險降低，在REITs市場方面，基本面亦呈現回升改善。(新聞來源 : 工商時報一孫彬訓／台北報導) View the full article

Theo hãng tin TASS, Ngoại trưởng Nga Sergey Lavrov ngày 19/8 tuyên bố, Moscow không có ý định kiểm soát lãnh thổ ở Ukraine, mà chỉ đang bảo vệ những người dân nói tiếng Nga ở miền đông Ukraine và bán đảo Crưm. More than 5,000 pounds of cheese products made by Middlefield Original Cheese Co‑op are being voluntarily recalled after the company discovered contamination by potentially deadly bacteria, according to the Food and Drug Administration.
