　棋士の仕事は対局が本分で、他に指導など普及のためのお仕事がある、と以前ご紹介しました。とすれば、お仕事の日は多くても1カ月の半分くらい。他の日は休日ということになります。休日といっても、じゃあお菓子たべてゴロゴロゲームでもしているのかというとそうではなく、自由な時間は棋士としての自己研さんの時間になります。

　スポーツ選手がランニングや筋トレをするように、私たち棋士も日々トレーニングを積むんですね。トレーニングの仕方はいろいろで、詰め将棋を解いたり（サッカーでいうゴールを決める練習）、棋士同士の対局を研究したり。藤井聡太7冠が人工知能（AI）を活用して腕を磨かれていることは有名ですよね。
