LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Throughout the month of June, Kentucky’s Touchstone Energy Cooperatives helped collect nearly $17,000 worth of goods to donate to Ronald McDonald Houses in Lexington and Louisville.

On Monday, the two organizations joined forces to help deliver all of the items to help families be near their hospitalized children.

Several vehicles were packed with pantry items and other goods.

Sha Phillips with Kentucky’s Touchstone Energy Cooperatives said throughout the summer months, the pantries tend to be a little bare, receiving fewer donations.

“So, we’re always glad to have tons of things to drop off; this year we did,” she added.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Bluegrass CEO, Nate Graham, said being able to provide families with supplies to help them during a difficult time means everything.
