BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Residents can see demonstrations of several types of voting systems and system components as Louisiana continues its search for a new system.

Six public demonstrations will be held in Baton Rouge. Here are the types of voting systems and when residents can view them.

  • Aug. 26: Hart InterCivic Verity Vanguard 1.0 Voting System

  • Sept. 9: Clear Ballot ClearVote Voting System

  • Sept. 11: ES&S EVS 6.5.0.0 Voting System

  • Sept. 15: Democracy Live Omni Ballot Tablet (9-10:30 a.m.)

  • Sept. 16: Dominion Voting Systems Democracy Suite 5.20 Voting System

  • Sept. 18: VotingWorks VxSuite 4 Voting System

All demonstrations will be at the Louisiana Old Governor’s Mansion, located at 502 North Blvd., from 9 a.m. to noon unless otherwise noted.

Louisiana Secretary of State Nancy Landry launched the search for a new voting system in February 2025. She said an issue with the decades-old system is finding parts to fix machines. Pilot testing could begin in smaller parishes by 2026.
