受周二（8月5日）持續暴雨引致山泥傾瀉影響，早前需全線臨時封閉的大埔新娘潭燒烤場以南一段新娘潭路，經路政署連日加緊進行斜坡鞏固及路面復修工程後，已於周四（7日）晚上10時重新開放北行行車線，並實施單線雙程行車，以供私家車和小巴等輕型車輛通行。此外，行人路亦已同時重開。

小巴服務順利恢復

路政署表示，感謝運輸署安排公共小巴營辦商派出小巴，在上述單線雙程行車安排正式實施前試行，以確定公共小巴可安全通過，小巴服務得以順利恢復。

路政署將持續監察現場情況，並繼續全速推進餘下復修工程，以期盡快全面重開受影響路段的雙向行車線。
